
Senior Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sales strategies for hydrogen purification projects, collaborating with various stakeholders to drive opportunities forward.
- Lead technical sales by creating project-specific plans, managing action items, and tracking key milestones using tools like Salesforce.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, maintaining relevant materials in collaboration with product managers.
- Estimate costs and develop proposal documents based on customer inquiries and technical specifications.
- Modularize process units, ensuring design solutions meet customer requirements and align with logistics and sourcing plans.
- Work closely with process engineering teams to optimize design solutions for customer needs.
- Develop sourcing plans and execution philosophies with procurement and vendors, including RFQ generation, technical and commercial bid evaluation, and cost estimation.
- Manage project-specific workbooks, cash flow models, and proposal documents, securing internal buy-in and support for project plans.
- Lead CPR meetings to evaluate material and service transfers between organizations, considering legal and tax compliance.
- Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks, developing commercial risk summaries for senior leadership approval.
- Build relationships with business leaders, offering managers, project development managers, equipment engineers, and procurement teams to coordinate resources and expertise.
- Support cross-functional teams reviewing project plans, costs, product positioning, and sales strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate equipment improvements and innovations into proposals, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
- Lead technical clarification meetings and support commercial clarification and negotiation meetings, focusing on pricing strategies.
- Deliver technical sales handover packages to project management for sold projects.
- Drive innovation by exploring new opportunities and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, gas processing, renewable energy, or biofuels industries, with a focus on technical sales, project management, proposal development, and cost estimation.
- Industry knowledge, including general awareness of local and international codes and standards.
- First-hand knowledge of refining and gas processing technologies, including process configuration optimization.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience handling contractual, legal, tax, and financial matters related to projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, Acrobat, and other relevant software tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple complex projects.
- Business management skills and financial acumen.
- Travel ability up to 10% annually.
