Software Developer Job

We are looking for a talented software developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new features, maintaining and enhancing existing features, testing and deploying code, creating back-end components, integrating user-facing elements, ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile devices, and ensuring performance of applications.

The successful candidate will have experience in web-based software development, proficiency with Ruby on Rails and ability to write clean Ruby code, familiarity with MVC, REST, front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3 and Bootstrap framework, database technology and SQL programming (we use MySQL).

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and Developing New Features: Create innovative solutions that meet the needs of users.
  • Maintaining and Enhancing Existing Features: Improve and refine existing features to ensure they remain efficient and effective.
  • Testing and Deploying Code: Thoroughly test and deploy code to ensure it meets high standards.
  • Creating Back-End Components: Develop robust and scalable back-end components that support front-end applications.
  • Integrating User-Facing Elements: Seamlessly integrate user-facing elements to create a seamless user experience.
  • Cross-Platform Optimization: Ensure that applications perform optimally across all platforms, including mobile devices.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in web-based software development.
  • Degree: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Programming Skills: Experience working with Ruby on Rails and ability to write clean Ruby code, proficiency with code versioning tools like Bitbucket, Git, Github, familiarity with MVC, REST, good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3 and Bootstrap framework, familiarity with database technology and SQL programming (we use MySQL).
  • Methodologies: Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (we use Jira, Scrum).
  • Operating System: Proficient with Linux distributions like Ubuntu.
