Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Governance Specialist to drive the design, implementation, and adoption of data governance solutions across enterprise environments. This role focuses on enabling strong data security, compliance, and risk management within cloud ecosystems.

The right candidate will be hands-on, able to lead projects end-to-end, and bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the deployment and management of data governance solutions for compliance, risk management, and data protection.
  • Define and implement data classification, labeling, and protection policies across cloud-native environments.
  • Configure and manage data loss prevention, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery in data governance platforms.
  • Integrate data governance with cloud security services for end-to-end compliance enforcement.
  • Assess current data estate, identify compliance gaps, and propose remediation strategies.
  • Support data cataloging, lineage tracking, and metadata management to strengthen governance.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and business teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, SOX, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and adoption workshops.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for data governance platforms and their integrations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5–7 years of experience in cloud security and compliance, data governance, or information protection.
  • Strong, practical expertise with data governance platforms, including data loss prevention, insider risk management, records management, and eDiscovery.
  • Proven track record with sensitivity labels, retention policies, and data classification frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security and compliance capabilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, identity and access management, and security information and event management.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.) and ability to map them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Good to Have (Preferred):

  • Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
  • Experience with cloud security services and the wider cloud ecosystem.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale deployments, migrations, and compliance rollouts.
  • Knowledge of automation tools, DevOps practices, and continuous integration and delivery.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
