Fiber Network Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Network Specialist to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Testing: Assist in installing, splicing, terminating, and testing fiber optic cables.
  • Network Maintenance: Perform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality.
  • Troubleshooting: Support network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test reports.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and customers during project execution.
  • Safety and Timeliness: Ensure adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site support for FTTH, backbone, and enterprise fiber projects.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Diploma / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).
  • Tools and Equipment: Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Advanced Knowledge: Understanding of FTTH, DWDM, MPLS, and backbone fiber networks.
  • Industry Experience: Exposure to ISP / Telecom / Infrastructure projects.
  • Best Practices: Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices.
