Job Overview

The role of a Product Application Specialist plays a pivotal part in driving business growth by developing and implementing product applications, benchmarking competition products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Benchmarking of competition products in a laboratory setting to identify unique selling points (USPs) of our products for value selling purposes.
  • Replication of lab results in customer trials for product approval and commercialization processes.
  • Brainstorming on product-related issues to satisfy customers and ensure regularized product supply.
  • Vendor development as needed for new materials in collaboration with the procurement team.
  • Laboratory development and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product development, benchmarking, or application support in the paints, coatings, or construction chemicals industry.
  • A strong understanding of formulation chemistry, application techniques, and testing methods.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and safety procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams effectively.
