Job Summary

The position of Project Manager is a strategic role that involves overseeing project planning, design, execution, and closure. This leader will lead multidisciplinary teams to drive the successful execution of capex projects at chemical manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategic Oversight:
    • Lead multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and drafting disciplines.
    • Project Planning & Management: Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Installation & Commissioning: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Excellent Relationship Management, Analytical & Negotiation Skills:
    • Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and consultants to swiftly ramp up projects.
    • Develop effective negotiation strategies to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Strong Leadership Capabilities:
    • Gaining trust and respect from team members to deliver extraordinary results.
    • Empowering team members to take ownership of their work and make decisions.
  • Project Development:
    • Develop project plans from concept to execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and detail engineering.
    • Coordinate with technical, manufacturing, process, R&D instruments, and other engineering disciplines for new and existing projects.
  • Risk, Procurement & Cost Management:
    • Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
    • Lead procurement strategies for services, materials, and equipment.
    • Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage change orders effectively.
  • Financial & Stakeholder Management:
    • Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones to senior management.
  • Governance & Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to HSE protocols and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain robust documentation and reporting for project audits and reviews.
