The MEP Engineer will oversee and coordinate the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of construction projects. Must have good understanding of MEP systems design, installation, and maintenance, and will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building projects.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing MEP systems and identify areas for improvement or upgrades.
- Manage MEP related Repair & Maintenance.
- Prepare MEP drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate MEP systems into overall project plans.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with standards and regulations.
- Resolve technical issues and provide solutions during the construction phase.
- Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.
- Ensure all MEP systems meet local codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
- Manage project schedules and budgets for MEP works.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for product specifications and procurement.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Bachelors / Masters degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil Engineering.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in MEP design and site execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, fire protection, lighting, power systems, and plumbing.
- Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
