Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing end-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
  • Integrating Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud, with Azure virtual desktop services to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
  • Configuring and managing Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments, ensuring proper image management, user profile management, and application delivery mechanisms.
  • Developing identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls, for virtual desktop environments.
  • Implementing network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
  • Optimizing virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience, monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensuring the security of virtual desktop environments through data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect against industry regulations and organizational policies.
  • Designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss, creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.
  • Establishing monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure, identifying and troubleshooting performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems to maintain a stable and reliable environment.
