Enterprise Risk Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Risk Manager to lead our risk management efforts across the organization.

  • This role involves developing and implementing an effective Enterprise Risk Management framework, ensuring robust internal controls to mitigate potential risks.
Key Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will design and implement a comprehensive risk management framework, including regular reviews of current business processes to identify control gaps and deficiencies.
  • They will also be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and documenting control weaknesses and deficiencies; developing recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement.
  • A key aspect of this role is preparing and maintaining up-to-date Risk Registers (RCSA) to ensure accurate tracking of risk exposure.
  • Collaboration with Principal Risk Owners is crucial in identifying key risks and mitigating controls within their business units, as well as action plans to address any gaps in mitigating measures.
  • The Enterprise Risk Manager will develop integrated risk reporting frameworks to focus attention on critical risks and facilitate informed decision-making.
Requirements
  • A graduate degree in finance, management, or risk management from a reputable institution; preferred certifications include FRM, CFA, CBCP, and similar.
  • The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in risk management principles and practices.
Functional Competencies
  • The Enterprise Risk Manager should possess strong knowledge of risk identification, assessment, and management frameworks, as well as control frameworks and governance standards.
  • Principles of risk management, including identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies, will also be essential skills for this role.
