We are seeking an accomplished Platform Engineer to take ownership of critical financial systems within a dynamic investment banking environment.

This role requires an expert engineer who can ensure system reliability, resilience and operational excellence across On-Premise and cloud-hosted environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Ownership & Reliability
  • Taking full responsibility for assigned financial systems and ensuring high availability.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues across infrastructure, applications and integrations.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes to prevent recurrences.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Designing and managing Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies; conducting periodic DR drills.
  • Ensuring timely patching, upgrades and compliance with security standards.
  • Defining and managing backup and restore strategies.
  • Building monitoring, logging and alerting frameworks to proactively detect issues.
  • SRE & Automation
  • Applying Site Reliability Engineering principles to improve system performance and resilience.
  • Automating operational tasks (deployments, failover tests, log analysis, scaling).
  • Developing tooling and scripts (Python, Shell, Ansible) for efficiency and reliability.
  • Implementing self-healing mechanisms and runbooks for predictable operations.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Environments
  • Engineering and operating systems deployed on On-Prem and cloud platforms.
  • Leveraging key cloud services such as EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, Lambda and VPC networking.
  • Working closely with infrastructure teams to optimize scalability and performance.
