Cloud Data Modelling Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Modelling Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data architecture for OLTP and OLAP systems. They will design and implement scalable data models, ensuring performance optimization and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
  • Define indexing, partitioning, and data sharding strategies for scalable data systems.
  • Analyze and improve database performance for near real-time analytics and application responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to gather data requirements and translate them into efficient models.
  • Use industry-standard data modeling tools (such as DBSchema or Erwin) to document and manage models.
  • Work with cloud-native databases on GCP, including AlloyDB, CloudSQL, and BigQuery.
  • Ensure data models support data governance, consistency, and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership in data design discussions.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience in data modelling for enterprise applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with data modelling for OLTP and OLAP environments.
  • Expertise in indexing, partitioning, sharding, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with data modelling tools like Erwin or DBSchema.
  • Good knowledge of GCP data services such as AlloyDB, CloudSQL, and BigQuery.
  • Solid understanding of data architecture and cloud database performance optimisation.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
  • Functional knowledge of the mutual fund or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with Azure DBX environments or similar platforms.

  • Office presence is mandatory – candidate should be willing to relocate if necessary.
