Job Title: Solution Architect Specialist

BT Group is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Business Connectivity team, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of solution architecture and designs for our Ethernet, Optical, IP, and Mobile Backhaul portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead solution design for specific domain areas, such as Ethernet or Mobile Backhaul, or for specific projects within those domains.
  • Define and evolve the solution strategy for assigned areas, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture roadmaps and guardrails.
  • Oversee solution design work of a small team, providing leadership, direction, coaching, and review/assurance of output.
  • Collaborate with delivery managers and stakeholders in Business and Digital to provide technical direction.
  • Deliver solution designs for product, business, or operational functionality enhancements, supporting Business Connectivity strategy.
  • Develop robust recommendations, proposals, and scope of work documents, including estimated solution costs, timescales, and phasing proposals.
  • Ensure solutions provide excellent customer and colleague experience.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications business connectivity services and emerging network/software technologies.
  • Expert Solution Architect skills, including solution option decision making and road-mapping.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and stakeholder management skills.
  • Delivery-oriented, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
