Procurement Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Leader to join our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted production in alignment with company goals and regulatory standards.

Job Purpose:

Lead the procurement function by driving strategic sourcing initiatives and implementing category management practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across key spend categories.
  • Monitor market trends and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines in procurement contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through effective contingency planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
