Software Developer

About the Role:

This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line.

The position requires the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

Responsibilities
  • Solving real-world problems in software development
  • Proposing viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation and implementation
  • Developing highly resilient and scalable software applications
  • Validating innovative solutions with customers and continuously delivering value to them
  • Collaborating with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
  • Working closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs
  • Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews successfully
  • Staying up-to-date with new technology developments and applying them to improve the product
Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of Software/Systems Engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
  • Proficiency in data manipulation languages
  • Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to Java/J2EE, Spring Boot/Integration, JavaScript, XML, SQL, in Windows and LINUX operating systems
  • Familiarity with industry best practices code coverage/reviews, Test-driven development, continuous integration
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and continuous improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of data storage subsystems (On Premise Oracle/SQL Server, Cloud data lakes)
  • Ability to complete moderate and complex bug fixes
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in fluent English
  • Desirable experience in Dockers, Kubernetes, Services in Azure, AWS, or another cloud platform
