Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Manager

This is a challenging role that requires a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective HSE strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees, contractors and visitors to our site.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating all HSE-related activities, including risk assessments, incident reporting and record-keeping. You will also be required to develop and implement training programs for employees and contractors on HSE best practices and procedures.
  • You will work closely with our operations team to identify and mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  3. Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  4. Develop and deliver training programs for employees and contractors on HSE best practices and procedures.
  5. Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, including incident rates and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Collaborate with our operations team to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to energy efficiency and waste reduction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a HSE management role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
