Job Opportunity: Data Analyst

Data Analysis Role

At Currie & Brown, we are seeking a skilled data analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for assisting in the capture, organization, and analysis of data to drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. They will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cost indices and escalation models
  • Manage large datasets in Excel and other tools
  • Collaborate with cost estimators and quantity surveyors to fill gaps in data
  • Contribute to the process of collecting, capturing, and utilizing historical data
  • Perform other duties as required by supervisor or senior leadership
  • Coordinate with senior and technical staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree + 2 years relevant experience
  • Excellent decision-making abilities, effective communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience in data analysis and management
  • Strong understanding of IT technology including Intranet, MS Windows, MS Office Suites
  • Experience with Microsoft suite, particularly managing data in Excel and SharePoint preferred
  • SQL, Python, R, PowerBI, and Tableau skills beneficial
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience managing and analyzing large data sets beneficial
  • Interest or experience in construction industry or how things go together
  • Motivated to work independently and ability to work as part of a team
  • Dedication to current/continued pursuit of registrations
  • Excellent English communication skills
