Senior Firmware Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with expertise in storage system design and firmware development.

  • About the Role:
  • To design, develop, and customize controller firmware for enterprise-class storage solutions.
  • Work on firmware development with a strong focus on NAND Flash technologies (SLC, TLC, QLC).
  • Contribute to modeling efforts for storage products from concept through production.
  • Support device characterization, benchmarking, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues across multiple layers.
  • Ensure best practices by working within Agile methodologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the storage domain (SSD/HDD).
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and assembly programming.
  • Hands-on experience with storage interfaces: PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC.
  • Proven experience with firmware design, customization, and support.
  • Strong analytical and abstract thinking ability with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior exposure to device drivers is desirable.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
