Financial Analyst Job Description

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a highly skilled financial analyst professional to join their team.

As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data and providing insights that drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

You will also be required to maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and identify areas for cost reduction.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing financial transactions from various sectors, ensuring systematic control and logging.
  • Processing journal entries and financial accounting transactions into the general ledger, verifying and reconciling financial data as needed.
  • Maintaining and updating hierarchies in the general ledger and managing cost centers.
  • Recording and controlling physical records and financial activities related to fixed assets for book and tax purposes.
  • Preparing financial and ad hoc reports and analyses, monitoring periodic revenue and expenses.
  • Tracking POs and invoices, posting bank statements on a daily basis.
  • Preparing and posting journal entries, including accrual, re-class, adjustments, payroll, and clearing entries according to time lines.
  • Performing month-end close activities as per close calendar agreed with customers.
  • Reconciling bank statements and preparing cash flow statements.
  • Reviewing and reconciling balance sheets.
  • Managing quarterly inter-company processes, ensuring variations are within threshold limits.
  • Processing requests for fixed asset additions, disposals, or retirements.
  • Preparing statutory analysis for monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables.
  • Developing budgets and forecasts according to client organization policies, providing variance analysis as required.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software and systems.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
