Key Roles of a Treasury Manager

The Treasury Manager plays a pivotal role in assisting the team in sourcing funds from various financial institutions, including banks and mutual funds. This involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth documentation and timely receipt of interest payments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to issue instruments for raising funds from banks, mutual funds, and other financial institutions.
  • Prepare critical documents, including bank proposals, IM, KID, and offer documents, ensuring they meet all necessary requirements.
  • Manage the Treasury Docket, ensuring it remains updated and accurate at all times.
  • Liaise with potential lenders to resolve their queries and address any concerns they may have.
  • Coordinate post-sanction requirements and loan documentation closure.
  • Maintain pre-disbursement and post-disbursement conditions imposed by lenders.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to facilitate seamless documentation processes.
  • Monitor Covenant Tracker performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with Credit Rating Agencies to obtain data requirements.
  • Negotiate with banks to secure timely interest payments and report submissions.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to complete due diligence processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regular banking requirements, including submitting information, certifications, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments in the Indian Banking & NBFC sector.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of treasury, banking, and NBFC sector best practices.
  • Strong understanding of debt raising, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, both internally and externally.
  • Able to independently handle lender inquiries and requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
