Endpoint Security Specialist

As an Endpoint Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in protecting our organization's assets by implementing and maintaining robust endpoint security solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Implementing and maintaining endpoint security solutions such as EDR, antivirus, encryption, and application control tools.
  2. Monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security alerts and incidents originating from workstations and endpoints.
  3. Applying and managing workstation hardening standards, including adherence to security baselines.
  4. Conducting vulnerability assessments on endpoints and coordinating timely remediation activities.
  5. Managing patch deployment for operating systems and applications to ensure compliance with internal policies and reduce exposure to threats.
  6. Ensuring endpoint systems comply with security policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  7. Actively participating in incident response efforts related to endpoint breaches or malware incidents.
  8. Contributing to risk assessments and providing input during security architecture reviews related to endpoints.
  9. Maintaining a strong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems from a security perspective.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Requirements
  1. Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or Sentinel One.
  2. Familiarity with vulnerability management tools.
  3. Knowledge of endpoint technologies including BitLocker (encryption), application control, endpoint privilege management, Windows Defender Firewall, Mobile Device Management (MDM), particularly Intune, and understanding of endpoint threat intelligence.
  4. Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Professional Qualifications
  • At least [X] years of experience in endpoint security.
  • Strong background in IT security, specifically in endpoint security.
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
  • CISSP certification or equivalent.
  • CEH certification or equivalent.
