Email Security Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Email Security Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying and configuring email security solutions, working closely with clients to understand their security needs and ensuring successful implementations.
  • Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving issues related to email flow, phishing, malware, encryption, and policy enforcement.
  • Candidates must work effectively with internal teams and vendor support to escalate and resolve complex problems.
  • The ideal candidate will also maintain documentation and support handover materials for clients.
  • In addition, they will participate in training programs and certifications to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with email security or cybersecurity solutions is required.
  • Prior experience with tools such as Mimecast, Cisco Secure Email (IronPort), Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Symantec/Broadcom, Barracuda, Trend Micro, Fortinet, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Candidates should have a strong understanding of email protocols: SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
  • Experience with email routing, filtering, and encryption is essential.
  • Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace environments is necessary.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to Proofpoint solutions (e.g., admin console, policy configuration, TAP, DLP) is a plus.
  • Candidates with knowledge of cyber threat vectors, phishing techniques, and remediation will be given preference.
  • Experience working with SIEM or SOAR platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) is also valuable.
