Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the full spectrum of our accounting operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Zoho Books. This role requires a proactive finance professional capable of handling multi-entity accounting, consolidations, compliance, and financial reporting, while supporting strategic decision-making through meaningful financial insights.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations in Zoho Books, handling multiple accounts, branches, and projects with accurate consolidation. They will prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts, manage cash flows and working capital effectively, perform accurate bank reconciliations and vendor/client reconciliations, monitor accounts receivable and payable with timely follow-ups, ensure compliance with taxation, statutory filings, and audit requirements, prepare and present MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial insights, establish and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs, coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities, support management in financial planning and decision-making, identify and implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements, maintain proper documentation, ensuring data accuracy & confidentiality, demonstrate expertise in Excel for reporting and analysis, and work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage end-to-end accounting operations in Zoho Books.
• Handle multiple accounts, branches, and projects with accurate consolidation.
• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts.
• Manage cash flows and working capital effectively.
• Perform accurate bank reconciliations and vendor/client reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable with timely follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, statutory filings, and audit requirements.
• Prepare and present MIS reports, variance analysis, and financial insights.
• Establish and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Support management in financial planning and decision-making.
• Identify and implement cost control measures and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain proper documentation, ensuring data accuracy & confidentiality.
• Demonstrate expertise in Excel for reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com, M.com)

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and financial management

• Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting operations, preferably using Zoho Books or similar cloud-based accounting software

• Strong proficiency in Zoho Books (or equivalent accounting software)

• Working knowledge of taxation laws, statutory compliance, and audit processes

• Familiarity with MIS reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control techniques

• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual)

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience in process improvement, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing best practices
