Job Title: Risk Manager II
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assume the role of Risk Manager II at Amazon in India. As a key member of our Compliance and Risk Management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring Amazon's compliance with Environmental Protection Regulations (EPR) across multiple jurisdictions.
You will lead efforts to select and contract Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) across the South America, Africa and APAC regions, ensuring optimal compliance partnerships. Additionally, you will manage Amazon's registration and reporting obligations with public authorities, developing automated tracking systems and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for EPR compliance processes.
Your responsibilities will also include coordinating responses to regulatory audits, overseeing remediation actions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable solutions and prevent recurring compliance gaps.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end process of PROs selection and contracting
- Manage Amazon's registration and reporting obligations
- Develop SOPs for EPR compliance processes
- Coordinate responses to regulatory audits
- Oversee remediation actions
Essential Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
Desirable Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
