We are seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Engineering & Services group, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, performance, and efficiency of our cloud-based software systems.

Job Description:

You will work in a DevOps team managing digital payment products in a cloud platform, following the SRE approach. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code (IAC) scripts and automation tools to streamline deployment and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain IAC code and automation tools to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of cloud-based systems
  • Provide technical direction and expertise during CAB reviews, ensuring high-risk impacts on customer SLAs are minimized
  • Serve as a key member of the support operations team, contributing to the shaping of product roadmaps and establishing strong operational readiness across teams
  • Ensure system monitoring with real-time monitoring tools, identifying potential issues before they impact customers
  • Collaborate on the preparation and review of technical product documentation, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure the integrity of solution functional baselines and architectures, providing technical guidance for new or evolving services and consolidated technical analyses
  • Oversee the deployment of Thales products in cloud environments, performing regular performance tuning, technological watch, and updates on service platforms

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP administration and support in production-grade environments
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and Service Delivery best practices
  • Strong knowledge of cloud service providers, including AWS, GCP, monitoring tools, networking, infrastructure, and Linux
  • Proven experience with automation tools, including GitLab
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like GitLab, Terraform, and Helm
  • Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools, such as Datadog and Splunk
  • Proficient in Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP(S) protocol
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as SHELL or Python
