About the Role

This leadership position entails guiding the organisation's engagement with central and state government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in public policy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. They should have a strong network across government and regulatory bodies, and a proven track record of navigating complex regulatory scenarios and potential policy risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organisation's interaction with central and state government bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.
  • Develop and implement public policy strategy aligned with the business interests of the group.
  • Track and analyse relevant policy developments, provide strategic advice to leadership, and ensure regulatory compliance across operations.
  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders including bureaucrats, policymakers, and industry influencers.
  • Represent the organisation in forums, consultations, and advocacy platforms to position it as a credible voice in the sector.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (legal, ESG, operations, strategy) to integrate policy inputs into business decisions.
  • Provide leadership in navigating complex regulatory scenarios and potential policy risks.

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in public affairs or regulatory strategy
  • Strong network across government and regulatory bodies
  • Strategic thinker with high integrity and leadership presence
