Job Profile: Financial Leadership

This critical role plays a pivotal part in maintaining an organization's financial health and contributing to its growth and success through effective financial management, strategic planning, and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and manage budgets for different projects or operational areas, prioritizing resource allocation and optimizing financial performance.
    • Develop accurate financial forecasts to support strategic planning, identifying potential risks and opportunities for growth.
  • General Accounting and Cash Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Monitor cash flows and liquidity, implementing strategies to optimize working capital management and minimize financial risk.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, fostering professional growth and development, and promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
    • Delegate tasks effectively, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews, driving results-oriented performance and accountability.
  • Audit and Compliance:
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and other relevant laws.
    • Implement controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information, mitigating financial risk and ensuring transparency.
  • Software and Technology:
    • Utilize advanced accounting software and financial management tools to streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and improve financial performance.
    • Stay updated with advancements in financial technology, suggesting relevant improvements and enhancements to drive business value.
    Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or professional certifications like CPA, CMA, ACCA can be advantageous).
    • Proven work experience as a Financial Manager or in a similar leadership role, demonstrating expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced business environment.
    • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
