Head of Finance

The ideal candidate will serve as the finance leader for our organization, overseeing all financial functions and leading a high-performing team across controllership, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management & Strategy:
    • Oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Leadership of day-to-day financial operations including accounting, budgeting, management information systems, taxation, and audits.
    • Development of robust internal controls and scalable financial processes to support business growth.
    • Provision of timely, accurate financial data and insights for informed decision-making.
    • Support for strategic initiatives, cost control, and investment decisions.
  • Controllership:
    • Preparation of accurate, compliant financial statements and forward-looking reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • Ensurance of the integrity of financial data across key reports including profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
    • Overseeing accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger reconciliation, inventory and fixed asset accounting, and revenue recognition.
    • Guidance on complex accounting issues and leadership of external audits and regulatory interactions.
    • Driving enhancement of financial systems and reporting processes to support scalability and agility.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Strengthening of internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial discipline across the organization.
    • Ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations (direct/indirect tax including Goods and Services Tax, Registrar of Companies, etc.).
    • Overseeing timely and accurate regulatory filings, internal and external audits, and disclosures.
    • Assessment and management of financial risks, and implementation of effective mitigation strategies.
    • Collaboration with the finance team ensuring consistency and alignment with company policies.
  • Stakeholder Management and Team Leadership:
    • Serving as the primary point of contact for all tax and financial matters within the company.
    • Providing strategic tax and financial advisory to senior leadership, helping drive business decisions aligned with company goals.
    • Leading and mentoring a high-performing finance team across controllership, compliance, and reporting functions.
    • Fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across the finance vertical.
