Job Title: Senior Ecommerce Systems Developer

About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technical professional to lead the implementation, customization, development, and support of our clients' ecommerce solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building efficient, scalable, and secure systems that meet our clients' business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement custom software solutions using Java, JEE, and other technologies to meet specific client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into system configurations and customizations.
  • Configure and customize ecommerce platforms, including menu layouts, pricing, promotions, and integrations with other systems.
  • Conduct system testing and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and functionality of our clients' ecommerce solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to ecommerce software, providing timely and effective support to clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ecommerce with other systems and processes.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on ecommerce functionality, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization of the system.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in ecommerce technology, providing recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation related to ecommerce and custom software configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms, including IBM Sterling Order Management.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in custom database extensions, user exits, agents, and building web services.
  • Minimum 2 years development experience in XML and DOM parser.
  • Minimum 5 years development experience in building web applications.
  • Experience building stored procedures and SQL functions.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems like GIT.
  • Experience with system integrations using JMS and web services (SOAP).
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with ecommerce software, including configuration, customization, development, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or C++ for system customizations and integrations.

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of order management and store systems.
  • Experience with IBM Sterling, Java, JEE, JMS, HTML/CSS, WebLogic 10, Oracle 11 in Retail software.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and security standards for point-of-sale systems.
  • Certification in ecommerce or other relevant retail technology certifications.
