Placement Manager Job Description

About the Role

This is a critical role in our university's success. Your primary responsibility will be to establish new relationships with organizations for student placements and internships.

The Placement Manager plays a pivotal part in fostering academic excellence, promoting cultural diversity, and driving successful career outcomes for our graduating class.

  • Develop and execute a strategic campus recruitment plan to secure successful career outcomes for our students.
  • Prioritize candidates with connections within the media and journalism industry.
  • Meet individual targets assigned for the recruitment process, summer internships, and live projects.
  • Support your team members as needed.
  • Foster new business opportunities through structured market outreach.
  • Plan and collaborate with corporate partners on strategic activities, including guest lectures, panel discussions, conclaves, workshops, and competitions.
  • Provide career guidance, grooming, and support to students preparing for interviews.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, faculty, administration, marketing, and admissions teams, to drive both career services and institutional objectives.
  • Nurture a strong network within the corporate HR community.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet placement and internship targets.

Establish new placement partners based on placement demands across schools and manage existing partners for repeat business.

Conduct in-house student counseling sessions to enhance graduation outcomes.

Organize corporate engagement activities like guest lectures, student training, conclaves, workshops, etc.

Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High integrity and a preference for the EdTech industry.

Knowledge of industry demographics would be advantageous.

Work Schedule: This is a six-day workweek, with Sundays off.
