GIS Developer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled GIS developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Job Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a software developer implementing GIS solutions is necessary.
  • Experience with publishing and administering map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server is essential.
  • Tuning and troubleshooting map services for optimal performance is critical.
  • Maintaining and administering geodatabases using PostGIS, ArcGIS GeoDBs is required.
  • Familiarity with open-source GIS software like GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas, and GeoSpark is desired.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript is necessary.
  • Experience working with ESRI APIs and tools (ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, ArcGIS Online) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers is desirable.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL is required.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in hybrid on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google) is highly valued.
  • Experience in the upstream oil/gas industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Google Big Query, Airflow, Elastic Search, Spark, Kafka, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, VS Code, and Kubernetes is beneficial.
  • The ability to analyze complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw conclusions is essential.
  • Quick learning and debugging large complex systems in ambiguous situations is necessary.
  • An outgoing personality and good team player skills are required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
