Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Linux systems administrator to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux operating systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • System Administration:
    • Manage and maintain Linux operating systems, including RedHat 6/7/8 and CentOS.
    • Administer Unix (Solaris/AIX) systems, if required.
    • Configure and manage network services, such as DNS, NFS, and SSH.
    • Implement security measures to protect system integrity and data.
    • Performance Troubleshooting and System Hardening:
      • Investigate and resolve system performance issues.
      • Implement system hardening measures to prevent security breaches.
      • Release Management and Patching:
        • Plan and implement release management processes.
        • Coordinate patching activities to ensure timely updates.
        • Troubleshooting and Break/Fix:
          • Respond to system-related incidents in a timely manner.
          • Provide effective solutions to resolve system issues.
          • Communication and Teamwork:
            • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
            • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

      Requirements:

      • Minimum Qualifications:
        • 5+ years' experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or training.
        • Degree resulting in an associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.
        • Familiarity with ITIL and ticketing systems.
        • Experience with enterprise systems for monitoring.
        • Relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, Azure.
