Job Title: Special Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic educator to work one-on-one with a child.

The focus of this role will be on developing functional academics, communication skills and supporting daily living activities (ADLs).

  • Develop personalized education plans for the child in their home environment
  • Create engaging, age-appropriate learning tools and methods to build functional communication, basic literacy, and language
  • Support the child's independence in ADLs (e.g., dressing, eating, basic routines)
  • Conduct regular assessments to set measurable goals and track progress
  • Collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
  • Focused, non-judgmental, and family-centered approach
