Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled PCB CAD specialist to contribute to our organization's success.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in software development and design, with a focus on creating and maintaining PCB CAD libraries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop schematic symbols, footprints, and parametric data for PCB CAD libraries.
  • Generate accurate footprints for SMD, THT, connectors, and complex IC packages according to IPC-7351 standards.
  • Verify BOMs, electrical attributes, package information, and component descriptions.
  • Process new part requests using PLM systems and maintain library updates.
  • Cross-check datasheets, schematics, and footprints to ensure accuracy in pin sequencing and package details.
  • Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and compliance.
  • Maintain documentation, follow standard naming conventions, and ensure smooth integration with ECAD/MCAD tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CAD Tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics Expedition, OrCAD/Capture CIS.
  • PLM Systems: Windchill, Target PLM, Teamcenter.
  • Standards & Compliance:
    • IPC-7351 for footprint creation and validation.
    • RoHS and REACH compliance understanding.
  • Library Management:
    • Creation and maintenance of schematic symbols, footprints, and 3D models.
    • BOM validation and part numbering systems.
    • Use of footprint calculators like LP Wizard and Footprint Expert.
