Job Title: Structural Designer I

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Structural Designer to join our team. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for producing 3D models consistent with instructions, industry guidelines, and KP&J A&E standards and practices.

You will clearly annotate, dimension, and detail 2D production drawings in conformance to KP&J standards and practices. Additionally, you will manage the BIM workflow including folder organization, sheet sets, geo-location, plots, conversions, and transmittals.

Maintain structural BIM/CAD files for use in the structural design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting). You will interface with engineers and clients to coordinate BIM modelling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.

Use tools such as Navisworks for project collaboration across multiple disciplines. Prepare and review project deliverables for client submissions.

Create 3D views or renderings on an as-needed basis for marketing or project use.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 0 to 3 years of experience in preparing structural construction documents using Revit/BIM project delivery.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with Revit software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and expertise with AutoCAD software.
  • Strong understanding of how a building comes together.
  • Ability to think in 3-D.
  • Ability to draw sections and details with minimal input from the engineer.
  • Proficiency with written and verbal communication skills.
