Job Title: Database Administrator

A highly skilled database administrator is required to maintain and optimize large-scale databases for high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal database performance through efficient query optimization, indexing strategies, and tuning techniques.
  • Implement and monitor robust database backup, recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access privileges with utmost care.
  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Utilize advanced tools and utilities for proactive performance management.
  • Guarantee database scalability, reliability, and availability in production environments.
  • Support smooth upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

Mandatory Skills:

  • PostgreSQL DBA expertise with a proven track record of 8+ years.
  • Strong experience in performance optimization & query tuning with measurable results.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux / openSUSE environment.
  • Proven work with timesqldb and related toolkit utilities.
  • Ability to handle large databases (1000–2000 GB).

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering.
  • Experience in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.
