Financial Control Specialist

At Empower Retirement, we're dedicated to helping individuals achieve their long-term financial goals. As a Financial Control Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile various G/L accounts, incoming contributions/loan repayments from plans and participants, and all withdrawals.
- Ensure suspense items are accurately resolved in a timely manner as per set procedures.
- Perform daily reconciliation of aged suspense for assigned company codes, detailing outstanding reconciling items.
- Regularly follow up and reach out to associated teams to resolve age breaks.
What You'll Need:
- Research discrepancies and work with internal partners to resolve aged suspense items.
- Complete periodic reports documenting variance root cause and resolution.
- Verify problem resolution on a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow up with appropriate teams regarding unresolved outstanding suspense.
- Reconcile steps as documented within standard operating procedures.
- Assist internal teams with research on complicated discrepancies.
- Complete all daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks and reporting accurately.
