Job Title

The Business Development Strategist will oversee the overall strategy, management, and growth of a specific market within our operations. This role requires a combination of skills: strategic planning, supply chain management, demand generation, and a deep understanding of market and customer preferences.

This is an independent leadership position that involves managing end-to-end business operations, planning, and executing scale-up strategies to create predictable profit pools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive supply and demand within a particular market and increase market share.
  • Understand local supply and demand trends and competitor activities. Use insights to form appropriate plans to leverage inputs for growth opportunities.
  • Identify revenue and cost-saving opportunities to maximise profits.
  • Work with cross-functional teams like Supply Chain, Finance, and Credit teams to optimise costs and enhance revenue.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of produce and experience to customers.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage technology and innovation to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Engg/MBA professionals with 2-5 years of experience in pure play key account management roles with end-to-end responsibility and in a fast-paced setup.
  • Managing rural areas sales exposure is preferred.
  • B2B sales exposure in FMCG/FMCG/Ecommerce industries with hands-on understanding of credit facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong first-principle thinking ability to identify and solve problem statements end-to-end.
  • Should have managed operations with a track record of bringing processes efficiency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong desire to travel across rural areas in the assigned geography.
