About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an entry-level professional to develop skills in fund accounting and financial reporting. As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the preparation of financial statements and notes to financial statements in line with US GAAP.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting principles, fund administration, capital markets, and excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Excel is preferred, but not essential.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing semi-annual/annual financial statements, including SOFP, SOCNA, SOP, FIHI, and notes to financial statements using fund accounting reports from Sungard.
- Prepare Quarterly/semi-annual/annual Schedule/Portfolio of Investments using Bloomberg data and other inputs.
- Work on monthly reports like Total Return, Mid-month distribution, etc.
- Perform Draft reviews, footing checks, and other tasks as required.
- Conduct training sessions for junior staff and refreshers for the team.
- Assist the team with troubleshooting and reviews.
- Identify initiatives to increase efficiencies and improve accuracy.
- Relevant experience in accounting, finance, or business-related areas is preferred.
- Experience within Financial Services or Operations is highly valued.
- MBA graduates, CFA certification, or Chartered Accountants are preferred.
- Proven experience in funds administration and knowledge of funds services and processes are essential.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
We offer a competitive salary ranging between ₹12.50 Lakhs - ₹20.00 Lakhs per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The estimated annual salary for this role is ₹17.25 Lakhs.
