Job Title:

Internal Control Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Internal Control Specialist to conduct independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely reporting to team members and management. As part of this role, you will facilitate/coordinated completion of mandatory Statutory/Corporate/Asia reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent on-site internal control reviews and ensure appropriate & timely implementation of control processes and corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation to strengthen internal controls while reducing inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and overall workload.
  • Assess all areas of risks and implement complete and effective risk management strategies across all functional areas.
  • Support location management teams during Operational & Financial audits by assisting in preparation, liaising with auditors (if required), response development, and closure of deficiencies.
  • Analyze and evaluate accounting documents to check compliance with US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, and Company's internal policy.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of experience in internal audit/accounting audit/internal control role, with at least 4 years in Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Able to perform Process Audit and Month close review independently.
  • Outstanding Knowledge on US GAAP and Indian Accounting standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing with team members and executive stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable and able to work well with ambiguity.
  • Strong work ethic and track record of taking on additional responsibility; self-starter and self-directed with a 'can do' outlook.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies and adapt to changes and demands in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, detail-oriented with strong time management skills and focus on achieving results.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project).
