Accounting Manager Position Summary

This role requires an organized and detail-oriented individual to support the accounting and financial reporting operations of real estate private equity funds.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in US GAAP and fair value fund accounting, excellent Excel skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as experience with real estate investment platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting and Reporting:
    • Work with accounting team on bookkeeping tasks, including daily cash transactions, monthly bank reconciliations, AP system coding, journal entries in accounting software.
    • Support day-to-day accounting operations for multiple fund entities, including cash flow projections, fee calculations, capital call and distribution schedules. Assist with initiating wire transfers.
    • Assist in quarterly and annual closing workbooks, financial statements, and capital statements.
    • Organize and maintain accounting documents and data.
    • Perform ad-hoc assignments as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with core accounting team based in the U.S.
    • Provide guidance and training to local staff.
    • Participate in communications with external service providers, including fund administrators, auditors, and tax preparers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent credential preferred.
  • 4-6 years relevant experience in accounting, ideally within real estate private equity.
  • Prior work experience collaborating with U.S. accounting teams is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
