Job Title: Post-Silicon CPU Validation Engineer

Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge CPU technologies, utilizing post-silicon validation methodologies to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of CPU hardware.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CPU microarchitecture, experience with post-silicon validation tools, and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive post-silicon validation plans, collaborating with design and verification teams, and providing detailed bug reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive post-silicon validation plans and test cases for CPU hardware.
  • Perform functional, performance, power, and reliability testing on silicon prototypes.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to identify and debug silicon issues using tools such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG, and embedded trace.
  • Analyze test failures, provide detailed bug reports, and track issues to closure.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  • Validate CPU features including cores, caches, memory subsystems, interconnects, power management, and other CPU-specific blocks.
  • Work with manufacturing and yield teams to support bring-up and ramp of silicon in production.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to pre-silicon teams to improve design and verification quality.
  • Document test plans, methodologies, and validation results.
