Job Summary

Under close supervision, performs engineering functions requiring knowledge and experience in engineering principles. This level builds on experience gained as Engineer1 by either obtaining more depth in specific subject areas with the expectation that assignments are larger and more complex, or by gaining experience in more subject areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CAESAR II modeling for piping systems to ensure accurate stress analysis and design.
  • Evaluate pipe flexibility and stress analysis to identify potential issues and optimize system performance.
  • Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, slug loads, thermal cycle loads, and wind on piping systems.
  • Select proper springs for necessary support to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
  • Analyze jacketed piping systems, FRP piping systems, and expansion joints piping systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate stress, displacement, forces, and moments on restraints for support design and piping loads within allowable nozzle loads.
  • Perform nozzle flexibility (WRC) and stress analysis to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
  • Conduct flange leak checks to identify potential issues and optimize system performance.
  • Perform dynamic analysis, including modal, harmonic, and response spectrum analysis, to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
  • Prepare data sheets for expansion joints, spring hanger data sheets, and update pipe support standards.
  • Prepare stress analysis reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, including ASME, API, and IBR.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Engineering degree in mechanical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in both onshore and/or offshore facilities, FLNG projects, and power generation sector.
  • At least 3 years of experience in offshore oil/gas field or FLNG projects.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Experience with Caesar II software.
