Job Summary

This role requires a Senior Piping Stress Engineer to work under close supervision, performing engineering functions that demand knowledge and experience in engineering principles. The successful candidate will build on their experience as an Engineer1 by either gaining more depth in specific subject areas or expanding their experience into more subject areas. Assignments will be larger and more complex, reflecting the candidate's growing expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CAESAR II modeling for piping systems, evaluating pipe flexibility and stress analysis.
  • Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, slug loads, thermal cycle loads, and wind on piping systems.
  • Select proper springs for necessary support, ensuring optimal piping system performance.
  • Analyze piping systems, considering the effects of the modular design and transit phase, static and differential structural deflections associated with fabrication, lift, transit, and site installation.
  • Evaluate stress, displacement, forces, and moments on restraints for support design and piping loads within allowable nozzle loads.
  • Determine nozzle flexibilities (WRC) and stresses, and perform flange leak checks.
  • Conduct dynamic analysis, including modal, harmonic, and response spectrum analysis, to ensure piping system integrity.
  • Prepare data sheets for expansion joints, spring hanger data sheets, and update pipe support standards.
  • Prepare stress analysis reports, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with piping codes and standards, including ASME, API, and IBR.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Engineering degree in a mechanical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a focus on onshore and offshore facilities, FLNG projects, and Power Generation sector.
  • At least 3 years of experience in offshore oil/gas fields or FLNG projects.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Experience with Caesar II software.
