About the Role

Our team is seeking a seasoned Senior SRE who can leverage their development and operations expertise to drive reliability improvements across our organization. If you have a background in SRE or development and experience enhancing observability, your skills would be valuable assets for this role.

The ideal candidate will work closely with product development teams, Cloud Infrastructure, and other SRE teams to ensure effective observability and improve the reliability of our products, SLDC, and Infrastructure. Technical proficiency in cloud operations, software development lifecycle, and Observability tools is highly beneficial.

As a Senior SRE, you will be responsible for empowering multiple-disciplinary teams by enlightening them, enabling them, and ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience of our products and processes.

You will tackle complex problems, champion our standards, and collaborate with product development teams to identify observability gaps and resolve them efficiently. You will also develop automation that targets multiple regions and contribute to Open-Source projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, a passion for making things better, experience managing AWS services, and fluency in at least one scripting language. Experience with SDLC methodologies, Observability, and APM tools is also beneficial.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and track record in distributed teams
  • Passion for making things better and experience managing AWS services
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language (Typescript, Javascript, Python, Ruby, Bash)
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile) and Observability (Logging, Metrics, Tracing)
  • Working experience with APM, monitoring, and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk)
  • Good understanding of containerization concepts (docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under minimal supervision

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform)
  • Managing 3-tier application stacks and understanding basic networking concepts
  • Server configuration through Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or equivalent
  • Working experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Couchbase, Postgres)
  • Using APM data to troubleshoot and find performance bottlenecks
