Accessibility Support Specialist

The role of Accessibility Support Specialist is a vital component in bridging the accessibility gap for individuals with disabilities.

This position enables the client to do their work by providing seamless, real-time support in technical environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Code Interpretation and Modification: Review, interpret, and make basic code changes to ensure seamless integration.
  • Data Analysis and Management: Create and manage spreadsheets for data tracking and analysis using formulas, pivot tables, and other Excel tools.
  • Document Conversion and Formatting: Assist in converting and formatting documents to meet accessibility standards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Summarize meetings, manage task follow-ups, and track progress in collaboration with team members.
Requirements
  • Coding Knowledge: Basic understanding of how code is structured and identifying components like classes and functions.
  • Excel Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, comfortable working with large data sets and using intermediate Excel functions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills, providing support in a clear, professional manner.
  • Language Skills: Maintain clear, professional communication in English, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to Learn: Willingness to learn and openness to training in accessibility standards and related tools.
  • Accessibility Standards: Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Technical Environment: Comfortable working in a high-speed technical environment with urgency and frequent task-switching.
