Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist

Job Description:

  • Network Maintenance and Optimization: Continuously monitor and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
  • Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to network-related incidents, providing effective solutions to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Configuration Management: Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Security Enforcement: Implement and maintain robust network security policies to safeguard against unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional IT teams to support overall infrastructure and ensure seamless operations.
  • Upgrades & Updates: Plan and execute network upgrades, firmware updates, and patches to ensure systems are secure, stable, and up to date.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Utilize network monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and generate performance reports.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure network operations comply with organizational policies and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent field of study.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud networking solutions and software-defined networking technologies.
  • Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with firewalls and implementing security policies.
  • Load Balancing: Proficiency in managing load balancers for high availability and traffic distribution.
  • Network Automation: Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting.
  • Routing & Switching: Strong understanding of routing and switching technologies.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Protocols & Standards: Solid grasp of networking protocols and industry standards.
  • Security Best Practices: Understanding of network security principles and threat mitigation.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex network issues.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
