As a senior software developer, you will execute complex software solutions through the design, development and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application or system. You will gain skills and experience to advance in your role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain high-quality software templates across various products
  • Work on software release management and regression testing
  • Develop new job APIs and build scripts using Java Script
  • Handle user acceptance testing on linked applications
  • Interact with stakeholders for business requirements throughout the development lifecycle
  • Debug, conduct gap analysis and gather requirements
  • Produce MIS reports and analyze template breaks
  • Drive project initiatives to increase efficiency

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Prioritize workloads in a multi-client environment where demand exceeds supply
  • Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize and mitigate operational risk
  • Proactive in problem solving and developing solutions
  • Technical experience in Java, XML/XSLT, SQL, Java Scripting and Unix/Linux
  • Experience in a software development role

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Equities and derivatives experience in a financial institution, preferably in both business and technical capacities
  • Technical experience in WordML
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Understanding and practical experience of front-to-back business processes in OTC & Securitized derivative products
