Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify e-commerce websites for our clients. Your role will involve working closely with our design and development teams to create seamless and visually appealing online stores. If you are a skilled developer with a passion for e-commerce and a strong understanding of Shopify, we want to hear from you.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites.
- Extend theme's functionality for custom cart, custom filters or similar requirements
- Work with metaobject and metafield structuring for complex data structures
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to understand the key problem and implement the solution with the right approach.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
Key Requirements:
- Experience with any of the front-end JavaScript libraries like React, Vue, Svelte, etc.
- Competence in Vanilla JavaScript (ES6) including async javascript
- Experience in Liquid and SCSS (or tailwind / MUI)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document and report issues.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Shopify developer or relevant skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Shopify development is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of shopify metaobject and metafield structures is advantageous
- Portfolio of past projects demonstrating the required skills and experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid template language and Shopify's app ecosystem.
- Experience with API testing and third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, shipping apps).
- Understanding of Shopify themes, plugins, and how customizations are handled in Shopify stores.
Technical Abilities:
- Cross-browser testing tools (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, etc.)
- Bug tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana)
- Responsive testing tools (Chrome DevTools, Responsinator, Browser DevTools)
- Familiarity with Shopify themes, Liquid, Shopify Plus, and Shopify Admin is a plus
