We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to support the Honeywell Application Separation program.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will design scalable and domain-aligned data models to support application decoupling and cloud-native service delivery.

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data modeling.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Oracle (PL/SQL, schema design, performance tuning).
  • 3+ years of experience designing data models for microservices or distributed architectures.
Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assess and document existing relational data models, focusing on Oracle-based systems and legacy applications.
  2. Identify dependencies, shared schemas, and tightly coupled data entities across business domains.
  3. Define target-state logical and physical data models aligned with microservices and bounded context principles.
  4. Design data partitioning, ownership boundaries, and communication patterns between microservices.
  5. Collaborate with application architects, integration teams, and domain owners to align data models with service boundaries.
  6. Provide guidance on data migration, transformation, and reconciliation strategies during the separation process.
  7. Ensure data security, compliance, normalization, and performance in target-state models.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle database administration and PL/SQL programming language.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, entity relationship diagrams, and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
