Cloud Operations Manager Job Opportunity

About the Role

A successful Cloud Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and reliability. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation, manage cloud services, and support global SaaS offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cloud operations professionals to ensure efficient delivery of services.
  • Support 24x7 operations, responding to service requests and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Oversee provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, adhering to best practices and security standards.
  • Manage and resolve cloud & on-prem-related incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization, implementing proactive measures to address any issues or inefficiencies.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-training opportunities.
  • Coordinate with HR to recruit, onboard, and train new team members as needed to support business growth and client demand.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of cloud operations and automation experience
  • 3+ years of team lead experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex plans and designs.
  • Experience of Tracking Cloud Ops metrics (SLA, Incident, Release tracking, Cost optimization and Security)
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud service providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP
  • Experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripts for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, automation, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud services, infrastructure, monitoring, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle methods and standards
  • Experience in Kubernetes and Docker - Good to have
